"A feel-good holiday short story that can be enjoyed year round." The holidays are a hardship for a young single mother with no money. The Last Dollar would convince any scrooge that miracles do happen!
This was a good story starter. It was like reading the first chapter of the book. It would have been great if she finished the book.
I wish the story was longer to show the joy of the family. What a special Mother to notice the needs of others while their own family struggles. So meaningful.
Kate has four children and only one dollar with which to buy something for them that will make Christmas special. But there is nothing in the store she can afford. There's only one thing she can think of to do with the money.
